Latex balloons are made by dipping a mould into a vat of liquid latex and the shape of the mould determines the shape and size of the balloon. Manufacturers often use the same moulds to make both premium and value brands of their latex balloons, but there are differences.
Value brand latex balloons tend to be thinner, lighter, have shorter necks, and colors appear less vivid compared to premium professional quality brands. Premium brands are dipped for longer periods of time and deeper into the vat, to give the balloon a longer neck and vibrant color.
Value balloon lines are made thinner by dipping the mould into the liquid latex for a less period of time and the necks are shorter by not dipping the mould as deep into the vat of latex as you would with a premium brand.
