Gaff tape is typically used by professional lighting technicians, known as Gaffers in the film and theater industry. It is used to conceal wire, secure lights in position, and mark the stage.
Unlike duct tape, Gaff tape is very removable from most surfaces. It rips easily and doesn't leave a sticky residue like other tapes. For these reasons, Gaff tape should be a part of every decorator decorating kit or kept on hand when securing balloon displays or balloon structures.
