Helium Estimate Calculator

It is not always easy to determine the quantity of helium required when you are planning for an event. In order to determine the correct tank size, you have to calculate how many cubic feet of helium you will need to fill all of your balloons.

The Bargain Balloons Helium Calculator is an easy away to calculate the amount helium you will need. A PDF version is also available; however, you will have to do the math yourself.

The Helium Calculator provides a conservative average estimate. The estimates will be very close to the amount of helium needed for latex and standard 17-inch to 18-inch foil balloons. Jumbo foil balloons can only be calculated as a rough estimate because they come in different shapes and sizes.

We have separated most of the foil balloons that require substantially more helium than the average balloon and list them on separate lines. It is important to inflate latex balloons to the suggested manufacturer size or the amount of helium will vary from the original estimate.

Helium tanks come in a variety of sizes and the helium stored in the tank is most commonly measured in cubic feet. Our calculator shows four of the most common sizes.
